Enjoy Shooting with Panasonic Lumix DMC-FH1!
Introduction:
Panasonic has revamped its LUMIX line of digital cameras in 2010 with the introduction of new FH series. Panasonic Lumix DMC-FH1 is one such new camera to enter the market along with FH3 and FH20. These ultra-small cameras have been designed to deliver High Definition videos in a user-friendly manner. Let’s find out how far they have succeeded!
Features:
Panasonic Lumix DMC-FH1 claims that it can deliver 310 snapshots on a single charge. Some of the interesting features of FH1 include Photo Frame, a creative feature that allows the user to add beautiful frames to their photos giving them the look of a postcards, paintings etc. The camera also includes special scene modes to deal with tough subjects like pets, babies and other events that include high speed action.
Pros:
- The camera packs a 2.7” Intelligent LCD with 230k resolution that redefines the way you compose and review images. Specialty of this intelligent LCD is that depending upon the light available the LCD adjusts the brightness settings on its own up to 11levels.
- The 12.1 megapixels sensor renders good-looking quality images that can be made into posters, cards and albums. By using 5x optical zoom shoot distant objects with great precision and clarity.
- Shoot HD videos at 720p resolution in motion JPEG format. The user can also make use of other formats available like WVGA and VGA. These video clips can be viewed on the large screen of a PC or upload them instantly to social networking sites online with the special PHOTOfunSTUDIO software included in the camera kit.
Cons:
- The camera does not include an optical viewfinder.
- The camera lacks a HDMI option and a Manual focus feature.
- The camera lacks aperture-priority and shutter-priority options.
Pricing Range: Shoot profusely by purchasing this camera for just $120 - $160. Available in Black!
Final Verdict: Panasonic Lumix DMC-FH1 comes bombarding with a nice set of features like optical image stabilization, Sonic Speed AF and 25 scene modes but then it does fail to provide the same set of controls that went missing from several other cameras of the same price range. Looks- wise, the camera scores nothing and there are not many special features to make this camera stand out from the crowd. Affordable price is the most appealing factor for FH1.
